Job Summary

A sales supervisor is in charge of the supervision duties of a specific division/department, which include tasks such as supervising the sales team, implementing sales strategies, achieving targets, etc.

He should be able to handle customer issues, delegating of duties and organizing/monitoring the work process.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Direct, manage and motivate the sales team members so that they can together achieve the sales targets or set figures.
  • Develop strategies for selling of products and design tactics through which maximum revenue can be earned.
  • Build a new customer base to maximize sales, retaining existing customers by providing prompt customer services and overseeing the maintenance of customer databases.
  • Analyze field reports, prepare sales documents, and study competitor pricing proposals and sales strategies.
  • Assist the sales manager to resolve customer complaints and issues within the sales department for smooth functioning.
  • Delegate work or duties to different individuals working on the various job positions within the sales department.
  • Handle all employee related issues and monitoring calls etc.
  • Act as a role model so that all the employees adhere to the company’s policies and rules and work as per the instructions given to them.
  • Ensure that every sales team member works in a way which is directed towards achieving the desired sales figures.
  • Prepare a Sales plan for each of the Products/Equipment (including new products/equipment, when available) and submit it to his manager.

Key Skills and Qualifications

  • Good verbal and written communication skills (Arabic, English, French is a Plus).
  • Ability to travel to and from assigned territories.
  • Ability to work outdoors for extended periods under any circumstances.
  • Familiarity with computer operating systems and communications devices.
  • Ability to complete documentation accurately.
  • Ability to provide accurate sales targets.
  • Ability to maintain and implement all company policies, procedures, work instructions as documented in the QMS.
  • Bachelor's degree in business or marketing, or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 year experience in a similar work environment with relevant sales supervisory experience.
  • Motorized with a valid driving license.
  • Knowledge of principles and practices of Direct and Indirect Sales.
  • Experience with consumer education of products and equipment.
  • Good presentation, planning and organizing skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure.
